You know, the people who answer the phone at 3 a.m. every day, and respond to those calls.
It was great to be in Washington and to have the opportunity to meet many members of the firefighting community. As you can see from the photos, I was joined onstage by James Smith, from the Wilson North Carolina Fire Department, for a duet on "City Lights." He did a great job singing James' part!
Then they presented me with that really cool jacket and helmet. They made me feel so welcome, I just wanted to say "Hey" back to all the wonderful men and women I met there.
We've made some updates to the schedule, and if you're nearby to any place I am playing, I would love it if you'd drop by and say hi. It's always great to see a friendly face out there.
